Our client is a global leader in poultry breeding, supplying breeding stock to poultry producers around the world. They are committed to animal welfare, biosecurity, and sustainable farming practices. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Farm Manager to join their team at one of their regional New South Wales operations.
Reporting to the Farm Manager, the Assistant Farm Manager will support the day-to-day management of the farm, ensuring high standards of animal welfare, productivity, biosecurity, and staff supervision. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a team-oriented agricultural environment and is looking to further develop their leadership skills.
Previous experience in poultry, livestock, or intensive animal production (preferred)
Strong understanding of animal welfare and biosecurity practices
Practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills
Ability to work weekends and public holidays on a rotating roster
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Leadership potential and a willingness to learn and grow within the role
Relevant agricultural qualifications are advantageous but not essential
