Introduction

As a Telecommunications Rigging Technician, you will be working to deliver ongoing operational health and maintenance of the Fortescue Operational network and RF communications infrastructure across the site in support of the Mining team.

What are you going to do 

Work will involve heavy lifting, installation and maintenance of wireless telecommunications equipment including telecommunication towers and satellites. You will also provide technical support and advice to ensure safety in the operation of telecommunications systems.

This will be a FIFO position operating on a 8:6 roster and will be contracted for 3 months with immediate start preferred.

Essential skills and knowledge 

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold relevant certifications in Telecommunications with proven experience in a relevant role.
  • Be able to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Be able to perform technical tasks such as fault finding and testing.
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to operate collaboratively.

You will also hold the following tickets in a valid state:

  • EPW
  • Basic rigging
  • White card
  • Dogging
  • Working at heights
  • National police clearance (within 3 months)
  • Medical clearance (within 3 months)
