Introduction

Brunel Energy is looking for Telecommunications Engineer to join our team in Dubai, UAE. The job holder is responsible, provide expertise, guidance, and best practice advice to install, configure, diagnose, investigate, and overcome challenges whilst managing and supporting the Corporate Communication and Surveillance Infrastructure, which includes Very High Frequency(VHF)/ Ultra High Frequency (UHF) base and handheld radios, Microwave Point to Point and Point to Multipoint systems, Network Block (NDB) systems, Closed-circuit television (CCTV) surveillance systems, Telephony system, software applications used to deliver the above services.

What are you going to do

Design, implement and maintain the microwave radio communication, telecommunication, VHF/UHF radio communication and CCTV system;
Manage the usage of Communication Systems and their resources on a regular basis to ensure that they meet the performance standards;
Perform daily system monitoring to ensure that all critical parameters are under the limit and have high availability;
Test communication network performance and provide performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining communication network Infrastructure;
Participate in security management and security incident resolution;
Develop detailed operational procedures for Corporate Communication and Surveillance Infrastructure Services;
Maintain accurate and complete documentation for all Microwave, Radio, Telecommunication Systems, and Video Management Systems;
Specify, setup and configure complex, communication environments, wired and wireless that support simplex / duplex voice and video applications;
Adherence to all internal Company and IT policies and procedures, including Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) change, Incident and Problem Management processes.

Essential skills and knowledge

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications or equivalent;
Certifications in Telephony systems preferred;
Certifications in Microwave and Radio communications preferred;
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining medium scale long range Microwave, Radio, Telephone communication, and Video Management Systems.
