Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled Talent Acquisition Lead to oversee recruitment operations, specializing in the Mining & Oil & Gas industry. Based in Port Moresby, this role requires a proactive recruiter with strong industry knowledge, excellent client management skills, and experience using recruitment databases. The ideal candidate will be confident in engaging directly with clients and proficient in managing recruitment processes efficiently.

What are you going to do 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates for Mining & Oil & Gas roles.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, understanding their workforce needs and providing tailored recruitment solutions.
  • Utilize and maintain recruitment databases to track candidate pipelines and hiring activities efficiently.
  • Prepare and manage recruitment reports using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook to streamline hiring processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and employment regulations.
  • Work closely with hiring managers and HR teams to align recruitment strategies with business goals.
  • Provide ongoing contractor care, maintaining communication and engagement with placed candidates.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, salary benchmarks, and workforce demands within the Mining & Oil & Gas sector.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of recruitment experience, specifically within the Mining & Oil & Gas industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Hands-on experience with recruitment databases (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in directly engaging with clients.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple recruitment projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
