Brunel is currently searching for a Tailings Monitoring Technician for a contract to potential direct opportunity with our client in Miami, AZ.

What are you going to do 

Brunel is currently searching for a Tailings Monitoring Technician for a contract to potential direct opportunity with our client in Miami, AZ.In this role you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting the Tailings Monitoring System which includes but not limited to: piezometers, prisms, slope inclinometers and radar scanning equipment.
Hours will be Monday-Thursday, 6am-4p, occasional overtime on Fridays when required.Duties include:
* Field verifies the tailings monitoring system locations and assist with mapping in AutoCAD, adjust as new instrumentation is added.* Review system access points and work with onsite personnel to re-establish access or build new access.
* Develop and implement instrumentation protection plans (Piezometers, inclinometers, prisms, etc)* Daily and weekly system health checks. Troubleshoot any down equipment. Report on system health weekly KPI tracking.
* Monitor the real-time monitoring system for any variances triggering action. Notfiy EoR and site engineers of any system alters.* Work with contractors for field installation of replacement and new instrumentation.
* Collect system data for environmental annual reporting, EoR and site engineers. * Study current monitoring systems and research new emerging technology.
Requirements:* High School Diploma or equivalency
* Minimum of 1 year tailings operations / maintenance experience (5+ yrs preferred)* Knowledge of mine safety standards
* Knowledge of operational areas: Mine, Mill, SXEW and Tailings, Water Reclamation facilities* Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse teams.* Exposure to electronic system troubleshooting (battery systems, solar panels, cables, etc.)
* SAP experience* Basic surveying techniques
* Ability to work on-site, no remote or hybrid schedules available.* Must be eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship.
