Introduction

Join a high-performing Upstream S&E team supporting operations. This role integrates safety and environmental leadership across operations, projects, and contractor interfaces, driving HSSE performance and compliance.

What are you going to do

Provide S&E leadership to strengthen safety culture and operational discipline.
Partner with internal departments and contractors to ensure safety and environmental compliance.
Deliver technical advice and implement S&E management systems aligned with regulatory standards.
Support risk management, contractor assurance, and incident investigation processes.
Drive engagement on safety culture, continuous improvement, and Goal Zero initiatives.

Essential skills and knowledge

Degree in Safety or Environmental Science (or equivalent).
Strong experience in safety and environment roles (O&G preferred; mining/heavy industry considered).
Proven operational experience at the frontline with construction or operations teams.
Strong knowledge of Queensland safety and environmental legislation.
Skilled in stakeholder engagement, risk assessments, and contractor management.
