Introduction

On behalf of our client, a World Leader within the Energy / Oil & Gas industry, Brunel is presently sourcing a Contracts Advisor for a 6 month duration located in their Corporate Perth CBD offices.

What are you going to do 

  • Provide transactional contracting support for sourcing events
  • Lead sourcing activities to meet benchmarked sourcing cycle times, leveraging price benchmarks and market data
  • Perform Post-Award Contract Administration and manage ongoing contract hygiene and enquiries
  • Undertake development, compilation, sourcing, pre-tenders, Invitations to Tender, tender openings and evaluations of proposals received
  • Provide contract/procurement advice to Company personnel
  • Ensure Contractor deliverables to ITT/Contract documents are delivered in a timely matter / Contract Variations are identified early and advised to Contract Holder
  • Prepare and undertake Contract award approvals in accordance with the Contracting Procedures and Joint Operating Agreement (JOA)
  • Develop and/or analyse ITT and contracts documentation for issues (Scope of Work, Terms and Conditions of Contracts)
  • Negotiation of Contractors qualifications and exceptions during ITT evaluation
  • Management of assigned SAP Service Masters, Purchase Orders and Contracts
  • Coordinate on contractual, commercial, taxation, insurance and legal issues with relevant internal stakeholders
  • Finalise award and subsequent management of Contracts

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Engineering / Quantity Surveying qualification, Business Administration, Law OR equivalent
  • CIPS or equivalent qualification in Procurement & Supply Chain Management OR demonstrable relevant experience in Contracts and Category Management
  • Experience in contract formulation activities, systems and processes coupled with a working knowledge of engineering and or services/consultancy practices, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector
  • Sound understanding of CMS and ERP systems, ie SAP and SAP Ariba including managing end-to-end sourcing projects and post-award contract administration and ongoing contract hygiene
  • Excellent listening skills and ability to engage broadly within own team and with operational stakeholders
  • Can perform spend analytics to identify trends and patterns in spending behaviour and alert others when there are opportunities to deliver value
  • Is accountable for delivering high-quality transactional supporting and is supportive in enabling other to succeed
