Key role with Darwin's leading civil contractor, supporting the delivery of major subdivision and infrastructure projects. You'll be hands-on with planning, site coordination, and technical problem-solving, working closely with crews and stakeholders to keep things running smoothly. Help shape the Territory with smart engineering and solid teamwork.
Join our clients civil construction team delivering road, drainage, earthworks, and infrastructure projects across Darwin. The Project Engineer supports project delivery from planning through to completion, ensuring quality, safety, and cost objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and coordinating site works.
Monitor construction progress, productivity, and subcontractor performance.
Prepare and review project documentation including ITPs, QA records, and as-builts.
Manage procurement of materials and services to meet program timelines.
Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and quality standards.
Conduct site inspections and maintain accurate progress reporting.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
Track costs, variations, and assist with forecasting and progress claims.
Support continual improvement and mentor graduate engineers or site staff.
Requirements:
1-3 years' experience in civil construction or infrastructure works.
Sound understanding of QA processes, WHS compliance, and site documentation.
Ability to read and interpret design drawings and assist with ITPs and reporting.
Strong teamwork and communication skills with site crews, supervisors, and clients.
Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and construction reporting tools.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and valid White Card.
