Introduction

We are partnering with a leading processing business to source an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of sustaining capital projects at their Kwinana-based operation. This role offers the opportunity to lead technically complex brownfield projects that are critical to maintaining production reliability and plant optimisation.You will be responsible for managing all technical aspects of assigned projects from planning through to handover.

What are you going to do 

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of brownfield sustaining projects in accordance with internal project governance.
  • Apply a hybrid Agile/Scrum project methodology including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage contractor interfaces and ensure alignment with project scope and standards.
  • Oversee procurement of materials and services, and track cost and schedule performance.
  • Ensure completed works are handed over smoothly to operational teams.
  • Foster a high-performing, safety-focused project environment that aligns with company policies and procedures

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or similar discipline).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in project engineering or project management in the mining, industrial, or processing sectors.
  • Proven success delivering brownfield projects across the full lifecycle (study to commissioning and handover).
  • Familiarity with Australian engineering standards and construction practices.
  • Experience working with Agile project methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking and strong prioritisation skills.
  • Calm and composed under pressure with a drive for results.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and able to lead cross-functional teams
  • This role would be suited to candidate based South of the River
  • You must have current righ to work in Australia to be considered for this role
