Introduction

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our tier one mining business client on a 12 month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing procurement activities for a tier one mining business in the mining sector. This is a Perth-based role with a 5:2 Monday-Friday roster.

What are you going to do

Join a dynamic team as a Specialist in Resource and Mining Services, driving strategic procurement initiatives in a challenging and rewarding environment. Based in Perth CBD, this role offers a flexible working environment and the opportunity to make a significant impact on key portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business objectives.
Build and sustain strong, long-term supplier relationships focusing on innovation and mutual value creation.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement efforts with business needs.
Manage category and supplier relationship activities to deliver measurable value.
Drive effective negotiations to achieve optimal contractual and commercial outcomes.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks while fostering creative problem-solving approaches

Essential skills and knowledge

Requirements:

3-5 years of experience in strategic procurement
Category management experience
Service procurement experience is an advantage
Mining experience is highly desirable
Perth-based
5:2 Monday -Friday roster
Must have current right to work in Australia to be considered for this role
