Experience in Process Safety is desirable to support the Process Safety team in design. The Senior Process Engineer will provide oversight across project design, permitting, construction, commissioning, start-up, and operations support for projects managed within the E&C department. Knowledge Requirements: In-depth understanding of fluid flow, heat transfer, thermodynamics, mass transfer, and hydrocarbon process chemistry. Familiarity with the hazards of hydrocarbon processes and safety methods for process facilities. Experience in LNG process engineering and design. Knowledge of process safety for gas processing, natural gas, and LNG (or other cryogenic hydrocarbon liquids) transportation and storage. Competency in process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS and Unisim Design. Familiarity with NRU and Carbon Capture technologies. Knowledge of industry standards (API, NFPA) and regulations. Understanding of Process Hazard Analysis (HAZID, HAZOPS, LOPA) and facility siting studies. Responsibilities and Essential Duties: Process and Process Safety Responsibilities: Provide process and process safety engineering support for LNG, NRU, and Carbon Capture projects through their full life cycle, including design, construction, commissioning, start-up, and operations. Collaborate with other discipline engineers to manage engineering contractors in project design and development. Support regulatory and environmental departments with timely project permitting submissions. Participate in Process Hazard Analyses, HAZIDs, HAZOPS, LOPA, facility siting studies, and Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews. Develop or review process simulations in Aspen HYSYS for project design reviews and strategic planning. Ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications in process design. Develop Process Basis of Design, Technical Statement of Requirements, and project design scopes. General Responsibilities: Serve as the Senior Process/Process Safety Engineer for E&C projects. Lead the coordination and assembly of monthly progress reports, ensuring timely and accurate updates on project costs and status. Act as the owner's representative in cost estimation processes, ensuring alignment with the Client's objectives and financial goals. Provide cost estimates specifically for Oil and Gas projects, with an emphasis on LNG and low carbon solutions. Ensure cost estimates consider all factors related to materials, labor, equipment, and contingency planning.
