Introduction

* Directs the delivery of all aspects of Offshore Structures (i.e. topside, Jackets, Decks, Bridges, subsea structure and Brownfield Structural Modifications, weight control and management) and Onshore Civil/Structural (i.e. Structures related to onshore pipeline routing and tie-in) design and equipment, technical and execution definition, selection and design, including planning for detailed design, procurement, installation and testing/commissioning.

What are you going to do

* Ensures that related technical requirements (e.g. project specifications, data sheets, etc.) developed during FEED fully comply with project requirements during detail design at stage and effectively collaborates and interfaces with PMT and contractor engineers and operations personnel (as required) to ensure that the Offshore Structures scope of supply is fully integrated, optimized and execution definition is achieved.* Responsible for the delivery of all aspects of offshore structures detailed design, equipment, technical and execution definition, weight control, selection and design, risk-based evaluation of complex technical issues.
* Ensuring detailed design deliverables are compliant with project requirements, while meeting required quality expectations from Contract award until delivery of Dossier.* Ensure alignment on overall delivery (content and timing) of offshore structures deliverables in accordance with project requirements from Contractor.
* Provides leadership and expertise to Offshore Structures Team and contractors, vendors and/or engineering subcontractors, as required, to ensure quality assurance and production timing of the Offshore Structures engineering deliverables is in accordance with the approved project execution schedule and budget.* Manages timely delivery of technical attachments and scope description to all Offshore Structures related purchase orders and owns the associated technical attachments and scope description to all fabrication and construction contracts.
* Manage Offshore Structures engineering design in accordance with the project's change management program and owns the Offshore Structures engineering schedule and critical milestones (LLI procurement, engineered equipment procurement; ROS dates, etc.); develops and stewards recovery plans to address any schedule delays and resolution of contractor's engineering claims, if any.* Manage the Contractor's Offshore Structures related activities in respect to offshore structures detailed design, technical and execution definition, procurement, installation and testing / commissioning.
* Manage the activities of the contractors, vendors and subcontractors, as required, to ensure quality assurance and production timing of the Offshore Structures deliverables is in accordance with the approved project execution schedule and budget.* Analyze technical attachments and scope description of structures related purchase orders to ensure compliance with scope description in related contracts.
* Responsible for being knowledgeable of lessons learned from previous projects with the same contractor and capturing and communicating Offshore Structural engineering and design lessons learned for the current project.* Assess Contractor's structures related activities in respect to engineering execution by ensuring plans, procedures, objectives, and overall job requirements adhere to specifications, standards, and design verification processes.
* Cooperate with review teams and support post-audit activities related to structural design.* Works in a dynamic environment that has high expectations for flawless project execution in safety, quality, cost and schedule performance which requires the incumbent to demonstrate accuracy initiative and the ability to multi-task as essential skills

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in structural engineering.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in Engineering roles discipline, including 6 years of Oil & Gas Industry,3 years in offshore and including 2 years experience in Supervisory or acting role, or oversight of contractor/sub-contractor/service/vendor personnel.
  • Broad and extensive knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, appropriate safety criteria, offshore facilities and structure and Jacket design, construction, operations, and engineering administration.
  • Consider Experience working in large-scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc. these to be added whichever Applicable
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning and coordination skills.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Strong technical, analytical and interface skills.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Structural analysis programs, and experience of project management systems.
