Introduction

  • Provide project management support, execution and technical assistance to the Compression Head of project engineering & Engineering Manager by ensuring flawless coordination and communication within the Compression leadership team and Manage project internal interfaces between disciplines and scope of work.
  • Compression project is part of a large Compression Development Program decided by LNG and its Shareholders.

What are you going to do

* This major project consists of the delivery of two new Compression complex hub and two Living Quarter and tie-ins/Brownfield modifications to existing platforms.* Working in a highly technical and challenging project management environment, provide daily assistance, Project management and technical support to the Head of Engineering, demonstrating an understanding of the requirements of Compression Contract, risks, challenges and priorities.
* Strong technical background.* High focus shall be made to quality and delivery schedule.
* Leading and coordinating management activities related risk management, interfaces managements with all stakeholders and implementation of all lessons learned in close relation with Contractor and shared services.* Project reporting covering engineering, procurement, construction, installation, offshore brownfield modifications and hook up, commissioning, handover and completion.
* Providing full support to the Compression Head of project engineering & Engineering Manager, including delegation of tasks and actions.* Ensure full implementation of the Project requirements and control of project deliverables in terms of engineering, HSE, Quality, Engineering, Procurement, Project Schedule; verify compliance to the applicable regulations and Company internal Procedures.
* Champion coordination between the project disciplines including Business, HSE, Quality, Interface, and Planning team.* Responsible to develop, maintain and regularly update the project risk register.
* Anticipate all risks and issues identified on project schedule, initiate appropriate preventive and corrective actions, and steward the resolution in close collaboration with Contractor and Project team.* Responsible to action and close-out resolutions identified for risks; regular reporting and meetings to be organized in close collaboration with the LP Coordinator, Business Manager, Business & Control Manager and Project Manager.
* Manage the implementation of lessons learned from previous project into Compression execution phase including feedback from the operation team.* Capture and report Compression project lessons learned.
* Champion Compression Project Gate Reviews* Prepare and coordinate project documentation for Head of project engineering & Compression Engineering Manager review and approval: letters, decision records, technical notes, interfaces queries and agreements, technical presentation, Project Gates deliverables
* Active participation to the project critical path review committee consolidating all necessary input and proposing mitigation measures to the Project management team.* Responsible to identify and monitor critical interfaces with other COMP's project and Operation, propose and follow up mitigations' measures. Identify and propose plan to resolve schedule execution clashes with other Contractor for the benefice of investment program.
* Ensure Integration in communication and planning across multiple sites between Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication in multiple locations Yards, Systems Completions & Hand over.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry with at least four years demonstrated as Project Management on EPCI Projects in Oil & Gas industry, 3 years offshore experience and involving leadership skills, risk and schedule management, internal and external interfaces under challenging project delivery schedule, including 1 year experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of contractor/sub-contractors/service/vendor personnel.
  • Experience in managing project risks and critical interfaces.
  • Good Engineering Practice applicable to the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Familiar with International Codes and Standards.
  • The Lead Project Engineer position requires solid technical and organizational experience with respect to multidiscipline, and with the ability to solve problem, to identify the risks and to propose mitigations measures.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning and coordination skills.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Strong technical, analytical and interface skills.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCad, SP3D, Navisworks, and experience of project management systems.
