Introduction

Brunel Papua New Guinea is currently seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to work on a FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out) basis at a mining project up in Papua New Guinea. This exciting opportunity offers a chance to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.

What are you going to do 

As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing geotechnical support and expertise to the mining operations in PNG. Your role will involve conducting geotechnical assessments, monitoring ground conditions, and providing recommendations to ensure the safety and stability of the mine infrastructure. You will work closely with the project team to implement geotechnical solutions and contribute to the overall success of the mining project.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably in mining projects
  • Experience working on FIFO assignments in remote locations
  • Strong knowledge of geotechnical analysis software
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Willingness to do FIFO to Papua New Guinea
