Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join rapidly growing center of competence for data centers. As part of the small but dynamic commissioning team within the “Data Center Distribution Systems” department, you will play a critical role in realizing multidisciplinary hyperscale data center projects across Europe. The working location is Den Haag.

This department boasts a diverse team of 160 professionals. Our projects encompass engineering, manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning of energy distribution systems. This includes medium and low voltage switchgear, transformers, busway systems, protection relays, automation and monitoring systems, and modular structures like E-Houses and Skids.

What are you going to do 

  • Complete the commissioning process in accordance with agreed performance indicators, ensuring safety, adherence to schedule, quality standards, and budget.
  • Monitor commissioning results against technical requirements.
  • Ensure the commissioning team follows defined guidelines, processes, and procedures.
  • Act as the onsite technical representative, attending various commissioning meetings and decision-making milestones.
  • Handle site administrative tasks related to commissioning (e.g., scheduling work, updating drawings, closing open items in commissioning systems).
  • Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, laws, quality, and EHS guidelines.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the commissioning field.
  • Expertise in the energy or utility industry.
  • Strong safety awareness.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a positive and proactive mindset.
  • Knowledge of testing and commissioning power distribution systems (switchgear and transformers).
  • Hands-on experience with relevant testing and commissioning methods, equipment, and reporting (e.g., primary and secondary current injection, insulation resistance, fault finding, and functional testing).
  • Willingness to work on international projects for extended periods in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluency in English (knowledge of Dutch is an advantage).
  • Valid driver’s license.
