What are you going to do

As an Electrical Commissioning Specialist, you will be responsible for testing, validating, and energizing electrical systems across the plant, including high-voltage and low-voltage systems, power distribution, and process equipment. You will ensure all systems comply with local safety standards, design specifications, and commissioning protocols for a hydrogen-powered steel plant.

Execute commissioning of LV and HV electrical equipment (transformers, switchgears, MCCs, UPS systems, etc.).
Work closely with EPC contractors, construction teams, and OEMs during pre-commissioning, energization, and functional testing.
Review and approve electrical loop checks and functional testing documentation.
Conduct and document system readiness reviews and ensure compliance with Stegra's safety and quality standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during startup.
Coordinate with control system teams for integration testing.

Essential skills and knowledge

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
10-15 years of commissioning experience, including work in upstream, downstream, or both sectors of the oil & gas or energy industries.
Extensive international project experience is highly preferred.
Proven expertise in EHV/HV/LV switchgear commissioning, power distribution, and lockout/tagout safety procedures.
Familiarity with European and IEC standards.
Fluent in English; knowledge of Swedish is a plus.
