What are you going to do 

As an Electrical Commissioning Specialist, you will be responsible for testing, validating, and energizing electrical systems across the plant, including high-voltage and low-voltage systems, power distribution, and process equipment. You will ensure all systems comply with local safety standards, design specifications, and commissioning protocols for a hydrogen-powered steel plant.

  • Execute commissioning of LV and HV electrical equipment (transformers, switchgears, MCCs, UPS systems, etc.).
  • Work closely with EPC contractors, construction teams, and OEMs during pre-commissioning, energization, and functional testing.
  • Review and approve electrical loop checks and functional testing documentation.
  • Conduct and document system readiness reviews and ensure compliance with Stegra's safety and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during startup.
  • Coordinate with control system teams for integration testing.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10-15 years of commissioning experience, including work in upstream, downstream, or both sectors of the oil & gas or energy industries.
  • Extensive international project experience is highly preferred.
  • Proven expertise in EHV/HV/LV switchgear commissioning, power distribution, and lockout/tagout safety procedures.
  • Familiarity with European and IEC standards.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Swedish is a plus.
