Test Analyst

We are partnering with our key client in the Energy sppace to recruit for multiple contract Test Analyst opportunities giving you the opportunity to work on a landmark project involving the implementation of a next-gen Advanced Energy Management System shaping the future of Queensland's energy network.
You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of the AEMS solution (Monarch by OSI). Working closely with a high-performing test team, business SMEs, and project stakeholders, you'll contribute to test strategy, execution, reporting and risk mitigation in a dynamic, regulated environment.
Analyse requirements and design effective test strategies and cases
Execute functional, integration, regression, and performance testing
Perform defect logging, tracking, and resolution using JIRA/Xray
Ensure full traceability and compliance with regulatory standards
Contribute to testing frameworks, automation, and process improvement
Work closely with technical and business teams to enhance system quality
Provide reports and insights to support key delivery decisions
Minimum 5+ years in testing complex systems (energy sector preferred)
ISTQB Certified (Foundation Level or higher)
Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Experience with Advanced Energy Management Systems, SCADA, Smart Grid, or Energy Trading Systems
Strong understanding of ALM, JIRA, Xray, and defect management
Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skills
Experience in industrial control systems or automation testing tools (desirable)
