Introduction

As a Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of Gas/Diesel power generation equipment. This is an ideal opportunity for a qualified Diesel Mechanic, or Mechanical Fitter seeking to transition into the power generation industry. The role offers extensive OEM certified training and support to apply your mechanical expertise.

About this role

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and major services on gas engines.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, fuel, and control system faults.
  • Conduct component replacements: liners, pistons, bearings, cylinder heads, turbos, sensors, and actuators.
  • Carry out engine tuning, fuel/air ratio adjustments, and performance optimisation.
  • Provide breakdown support and onsite troubleshooting in remote environments.

Is this you?

  • Trade qualification as a Diesel/Motor Mechanic, Mechanical Fitter, or related field.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for learning about power generation technology.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • A proactive approach to challenges and a commitment to delivering quality results.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Willingness to work away from home is required, with allowances provided.
  • Must be Australian or NZ Citizen or have permanent residency
