We're looking for a Senior Pipeline Engineer to lead long-term asset integrity planning across a large upstream network in QLD. This role offers variety, technical challenge, and the opportunity to mentor others while driving safety, compliance, and reliability.

About this role

  • Deliver long-term pipeline integrity programs aligned with AS2885 standards
  • Conduct fitness-for-service evaluations, defect assessments, and SMS reviews
  • Optimise inspection strategies, maintenance plans, and integrity frameworks
  • Provide SME input across pipeline projects, procurement, and vendor engagement
  • Support incident investigations, emergency response planning, and remediation
  • Collaborate across Operations, Engineering, and Project Delivery teams
  • Mentor and support the development of early-career engineers

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in a pipeline-relevant engineering discipline
  • Considerable experience in engineering roles, ideally in pipeline or asset integrity
  • RPEQ certification (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Strong knowledge of AS2885 and related standards
  • Proven ability to assess pipeline threats and damage mechanisms
  • Experience in managing pipeline inspections, maintenance, and repair

Desirable

  • Experience with HDPE gathering networks and the relevant CoP
  • Chartered Professional Engineer status
  • Background in upstream oil & gas or CSG operations
