Introduction

Exciting opportunity for a QA/QC Inspector to join a leading team in the oil and gas sector. This is a part-time role based in Kewdale, Perth, working Wednesdays and Thursdays for approximately 6 months. Ideal for candidates with strong quality assurance and inspection experience in oilfield equipment and manufacturing environments.

About this role

Inspect incoming materials, in-process work, and final products for compliance with industry standards (API, ISO, ASME).
Conduct dimensional and visual checks on mechanical/electrical components.
Maintain inspection records, ITPs, and NCRs; ensure tools are calibrated.
Monitor welding, fabrication, and assembly processes.
Participate in audits, root cause analysis, and quality improvements.
Liaise with vendors and internal teams to uphold quality standards.

Is this you?

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 3-5 years of QA/QC inspection experience in the oil and gas industry.
Knowledge of industry standards such as API, ISO 9001, ASME, AWS, etc.
Certification in Quality Control (e.g., CSWIP, ASNT Level II, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) is an advantage.
Strong documentation and reporting skills.
Proficiency in using inspection tools and software (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMMs, ERP systems).
Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to working in cross-functional teams.
Ability to work in a high-pressure, safety-focused environment.
