Introduction

On behalf of our client - Woodside Energy, a leading global energy company, Brunel is sourcing an experienced Inventory Advisor to join the Warehouse, Inventory and Logistics team.

You'll play a key role in analysing and optimising inventory, improving reliability, creating visibility, and driving efficiency to reduce costs. Reporting to the Inventory Team Leader, you will ensure effective management of MRP, inventory settings, and master data accuracy while engaging with key stakeholders and vendors.

About this role

  • Manage end-to-end inventory processes, systems, and risk controls.
  • Maintain MRP processes by analysing and quantifying MRP data, taking timely action as required.
  • Ensure additions to inventory are processed in line with policy and procedures.
  • Analyse and adjust inventory settings using optimisation tools in line with governance standards.
  • Identify risks in inventory management and recommend appropriate controls.
  • Perform item reviews for aged stock and obsolete materials.
  • Maintain strong working relationships and open communication with key stakeholders.
  • Resolve inventory-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required.
  • Ensure alignment and accuracy of MRP and master data settings.
  • Optimise inventory levels to reduce waste and improve reliability.
  • Process master data requests promptly.
  • Engage with vendors and stakeholders to support operational efficiency.
  • Manage annual stocktake activities.

Is this you?

  • Extensive experience in a similar inventory management or supply chain role.
  • Degree qualification required; postgraduate qualifications in Logistics or Supply Chain desirable.
  • Proficiency with SAP ERP and materials/inventory management tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in process and risk management, with strong assurance capabilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to manage change across multiple stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Repair/Refurbishment functions in SAP (desirable).
  • PSV (Pressure Safety Valve) knowledge (desirable).
