Introduction

Brunel are partnered with a leading provider of digital mining technology solutions to deliver the best work opportunities for ICT & Technical professionals within Australia. We are currently seeking a Field Service Technician to join their dynamic team, working nationally and internationally on the installation and maintenance of cutting-edge Collision Avoidance Systems (CAS).

About this role

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of CAS technology on light and heavy mining vehicles across varied site locations. In this role, you will act as the key onsite representative for the client, managing subcontractors during installations, ensuring compliance with EHS standards, conducting site scoping and quality audits, and preparing project-specific documentation.

You will also be responsible for delivering training to local personnel on the operation and maintenance of CAS systems, as well as providing on-demand customer service, troubleshooting, and planned maintenance support. Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally at short notice is essential, as projects are based across a range of national and global sites.

Is this you?

The ideal candidate will be an early-career technician with some exposure to mining site environments, or an auto electrician looking to transition into the mining industry. A background in LV/HV auto-electrical work, basic networking (LAN/WAN), or equipment installation will be highly regarded, but extensive experience is not required. Post-trade electrical or electronic certifications and a Working at Heights ticket would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will bring a high attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a flexible, can-do attitude. They will be confident working both independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills and a willingness to travel extensively to meet project requirements. This role is ideal for a motivated individual looking to develop their technical skills and gain further site-based experience in the mining technology sector.

What we offer

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge digital mining technology projects with some of the brightest minds in the industry.

You will receive an industry-leading daily rate throughout your contract, including regular meetings with Brunel to ensure all contract conditions are exceeding expectations.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in Perth, with travel to national project sites and flexible working arrangements.
