Introduction

On behalf of our client - Woodside Energy, a Global Energy Group, Brunel is presently sourcing a Contracts Adviser - New Energy & Carbon as a key member of the Contracts Team. This will be a 12 month contract, based in the Perth CBD.

About this role

The New Energy and Carbon Projects will facilitate the transition and this role will play a critical part in the next steps in responding to climate change and diversifying the Company's business portfolio, through activities such as hydrogen production projects, carbon capture and storage projects and carbon credit origination farming.

  • Lead contractual and commercial outcomes in the designated portfolio area across
  • Ensure contracts, purchase orders and call-offs comply with the Contracting Work
  • Take accountability of the contracting lifecycle from Category Strategies, Contracting Plans, RFxs, Negotiation Plans, Tender Evaluation Plans, Contract Approval Forms for execution of contracts, Contract Variations and other associated approval documents
  • Continually identify and pursue commercial and cost saving opportunities within the portfolio
  • Work closely with both external and internal key stakeholders
  • Ensure that Contracting and Commercial Services are given sufficient front-end consideration in the development of Category Strategies, Contracting Strategies and project schedules
  • Ensure delivery of business needs to schedule, cost and quality
  • Compile and monitor vendor market intelligence

Is this you?

  • Hold a qualification in Business, Commerce, Law, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar
  • Previous experience as a Category Specialist or in a Contracts Advisory role
  • Experience with a full tender life cycle, specifically within the strategy and pre-award stage
  • Effective written, presentation and verbal communication to all internal and external levels
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Demonstrate people and stakeholder management skills.
  • Effective decision making in the presence of uncertainty and risk and considering and balancing business dimensions, eg technical, cost, schedule
  • An individual who is passionate, resilient and flexible with working on demanding projects
