Introduction

On behalf of our client - a leading integrated energy - Brunel is recruiting a Business Operations Lead to support the Head of Asset Operations and drive operational performance.

Acting as a senior key enabler for business unit success, you'll lead the operating rhythm, coordination of governance forums, operational reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. You'll be a natural organiser and influencer, passionate about operational excellence, with a mindset that embraces collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and mentoring others.

About this role

  • Work closely with the Head of Asset Operations, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and governance cadence
  • Lead and maintain the BU operating rhythm - scheduling, workshops, reporting, and performance scorecards
  • Analyse operational data and provide insights that drive continuous improvement
  • Champion compliance and support the Regulatory Investment Test process
  • Facilitate engagement across multiple internal stakeholders and influence without direct authority
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment with a coaching mindset

Is this you?

  • Proven experience in business operations, fixed asset management, or infrastructure environments
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills and confidence working across senior levels
  • Highly organised with a structured, proactive approach
  • Experience influencing and aligning teams without direct reporting lines
  • Engineering or business-related qualifications, ideally complemented by postgraduate or MBA studies
  • A continuous improvement mindset and a calm, solutions-focused leadership style
