On behalf of our client - a leading integrated energy - Brunel is recruiting a Business Operations Lead to support the Head of Asset Operations and drive operational performance.

Acting as a senior key enabler for business unit success, you'll lead the operating rhythm, coordination of governance forums, operational reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. You'll be a natural organiser and influencer, passionate about operational excellence, with a mindset that embraces collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and mentoring others.

About this role

Work closely with the Head of Asset Operations, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and governance cadence
Lead and maintain the BU operating rhythm - scheduling, workshops, reporting, and performance scorecards
Analyse operational data and provide insights that drive continuous improvement
Champion compliance and support the Regulatory Investment Test process
Facilitate engagement across multiple internal stakeholders and influence without direct authority
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment with a coaching mindset

Is this you?

Proven experience in business operations, fixed asset management, or infrastructure environments
Exceptional stakeholder management skills and confidence working across senior levels
Highly organised with a structured, proactive approach
Experience influencing and aligning teams without direct reporting lines
Engineering or business-related qualifications, ideally complemented by postgraduate or MBA studies
A continuous improvement mindset and a calm, solutions-focused leadership style
