What are you going to do
Scope:
The selected candidate will support upstream project execution with a strong emphasis on heavy electrical systems. This role is responsible for the systems completion methodology, execution, and leadership across project phases.
Focus areas include:
* Systems Completion leadership with heavy electrical emphasis
* Strong upstream project experience
* Ownership of systems completion execution and methodology
* Senior-level role requiring independence and maturity
Required Technical Background:
* Heavy electrical systems
* Electrical compression systems
* Dehydration units
Responsibilities:
* Support overall project planning activities
* Interface with cost and schedule teams
* Work independently with minimal supervision
* Act as a senior-level resource for systems completion execution
* Responsible for implementing the systems completion process on executing projects. This includes development or review of the Systems Completion Database (SCDB), as well as oversight of Systems Completion Clerks and the SCDB Administrator.
* In-depth knowledge of the Systems Completion process, including Mechanical Completion, Commissioning and Start-up planning and sequencing, walkdowns, punch list management, and turnover and handover processes
* Collaboration with contractors to ensure systems completion requirements are clearly understood and followed
* Working knowledge of Systems Completion Database setup and management
* Ability to define project hierarchy aligned with the completions plan
* Strong understanding of completions strategy, facility hierarchy, construction disciplines, and commissioning verification sequences
* Leadership to ensure safety, quality, and schedule priorities are met, with strong communication and assertiveness
* Leading and guiding the development of Systems Completion strategies, execution plans, and procedures
* Monitoring commissioning progress and assisting with resolution of Systems Completion issues
* Promoting actions required to achieve final completion of systems and subsystems for handover to downstream pre-commissioning activities
Essential skills and knowledgeÂ
Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a closely related role
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, discipline-appropriate certifications, or equivalent professional experience
* Demonstrated leadership experience through supervisory, team lead, or engineering lead roles
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present recommendations to management
* Ability to facilitate discussions, build consensus, and maintain strong working relationships
* Adaptability to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and changing priorities
* Knowledge of project completions activities and standard commissioning practices
* Familiarity with Systems Completion Database software such as WinPCS, MC+, CoConsole, or Orbit
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
