Detailed Job Description:
The Structural Engineer will perform independent engineering work within the Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) discipline for large-scale Energy projects. This role requires strong technical judgment in the application of engineering principles, design methods, and industry standards to support project execution from concept through detailed design.
Key Responsibilities: * Execute and coordinate civil and structural design activities for site development, including site layout, grading, drainage, pavements, stormwater, and utility systems.
 * Apply Bechtel design standards, procedures, and tools to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards. * Prepare and check engineering deliverables such as calculations, drawings, material take-offs, specifications, and reports.
 * Develop technical bid evaluations and support subcontracting and procurement processes. * Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, construction, procurement, and project management to resolve design issues.
 * Lead small engineering teams or task groups, assigning work and reviewing deliverables. * Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and constructability evaluations.
 * Provide mentorship and on-the-job training to less experienced engineers and designers. * Use 2D and 3D design software such as MicroStation, InRoads, FlowMaster, CivilStorm, Smart3D, or equivalent tools.
 * Ensure design compliance with AASHTO, ACI, ASTM, and other applicable industry codes and standards. * Contribute to cost estimating, scheduling, and progress tracking for assigned scopes.
 * Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution. * Minimum 6 years of experience in civil/structural design for industrial or energy projects.
 * Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent. * Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD tools and civil design software.
 * Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and project execution. * Excellent communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
 * Experience with Bechtel design standards or large EPC environments is an advantage.
