What are you going to do

  • Assume responsibility and represent DNDD and Design Department for all aspects related to drainage.
  • Provide leadership in all relevant departmental functions.
  • Lead external & external coordination pertinent to drainage.
  • Review drainage pumping station and treatment facilities Designs including associated infrastructure with other disciplines to ensure the timely realization of competitive, achievable, and serviceable solutions.
  • Generate PI&Ds, Cable routing, I/O Schedules and Instrument Hook up drawings
  • Prepare SCADA functional Design Specifications and Control philosophy
  • Shall have in-depth knowledge of Instruments, PLC, SCADA and RTU.
  • Participate in the meetings and workshops including HAZOP and CHAZOP
  • Apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to make adaptations and modifications to solve technical problems that arise
  • Contribute to and participate in formal and informal design reviews and the development of engineering changes
  • Execute the design process to realize the project, product, and program plans.
  • Create designs that meet the specifications with constraints given in the project plan.
  • Collect and analyze information to report timely required information to different users and management.
  • Provide regular status reporting to applicable management and departments to enable them to take required actions
  • Performance of actual design duties as directed
  • Performance of other related duties as per management instructions.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • BSc/BEng or equivalent degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized university.
  • 15 years of demonstrable experience in design & construction of infrastructure projects, with satisfactory exposure to all related disciplines.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience with management capacity.
  • Proven track record of managing major projects in the Drainage industry, with Design Engineering and Construction Management functions in particular PMC experience of leading a team.
  • Very good knowledge and experience with international & GCC design and construction code.
  • Excellent in written and verbal English language communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of written and/or spoken Arabic would be advantageous
  • Qualification in project management is an advantage.
