What are you going to do

This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in business, finance, or accounting, and a proven track record in commercial project management or project controlling within complex, multinational environments.

  • Ensure the accuracy of project financials, books, and records, including compliance with both company and local GAAP requirements.

  • Manage project reporting and controlling activities, maintaining integrity and alignment with corporate standards.

  • Support the Project Manager to achieve set financial targets by managing project profitability, cash flow, and financial instruments with due professional care.

  • Identify, evaluate, and manage risks and opportunities, ensuring proactive mitigation and maximization strategies are in place.

  • Contribute to and implement business plans through strategic financial management and performance reviews.

  • Provide commercial guidance by reviewing and negotiating contracts, assessing legal and financial implications, and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.

  • Collaborate with bid and operations teams during the offer process-reviewing quotations, costings, and developing commercial scopes that enhance value and competitiveness.

  • Support the continuous improvement of commercial and financial processes by embedding lessons learned into future project activities.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in commercial project management or project controlling.
  • Proficient in accounting principles and familiar with contract negotiation and execution.
  • Skilled in SAP, Microsoft Office, and Salesforce applications.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Adept at working in diverse, multicultural environments and demonstrating cultural sensitivity.
  • Positive, adaptable, and proactive approach to working in challenging, high-performance settings.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
