Introduction

  • Lead the Process Engineering activities related to Utilities & Offsites, as well as FEED contractor delivery of all aspects of Process design, equipment sizing, technical evaluation and execution of detailed design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning.
  • Ensure process design considers the full production life cycle and technical requirements such as project specifications, data sheets, etc. are developed as per FEED contract, and fully comply with project deliverables.
  • This role requires sound experience and knowledge in Process Engineering obtained during FEED project execution phases or as Process support to Operation.
  • Major challenges for this role are (1) managing FEED contract and Process Engineering team to deliver technical input in accordance with project requirements from contract award until FEED Close out, (2) maintaining constructive working relationship with FEED contractor to ensure delivery of engineering work scope in accordance with project requirements and (3) maintaining relationships with stakeholders (e.g. Operations and SHEQ) to ensure alignment of Process Engineering deliverables.

What are you going to do 

  • Provide process engineering knowledge and expertise to ensure studies, calculations, simulations, design development, technical notes, adequacy assessment etc. are in place to support the project scope.
  • Maintain close liaison with members of Engineering team and alignment with the Engineering Manager on project engineering needs, objectives, and requirements.
  • Plan and schedule the Process Engineering deliverables to enable efficient project execution, ensuring technical alignment and compliance with operational policies, standards of business conduct and project management system.
  • Ensure execution of work is technically aligned and in compliance with Operations, Policies, Standards of Business Conduct and Project Management System.
  • Review FEED contractor's process engineering deliverables including validation usage of appropriate design tools, including computer hardware and software; adherence with all project objectives, requirements, specifications, standards, procedures, execution plans and design verification processes.
  • Ensure quality assurance of the Process Engineering activities deliverables is in accordance with the approved project execution schedule.
  • Provide relevant input to the technical attachments and scope descriptions to all fabrication and construction contracts and the timely delivery to all purchase orders.
  • Ensure compliance with Management of Change procedures for changes in the contractor’s design or deviations from the Company directives.
  • Ensure knowledge sharing by capturing and communicating lessons learned to support review teams and future projects.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • 8 years’ discipline experience in major capital projects in the oil and gas industry.
  • Experienced as Lead or Senior Process Engineering with a broad knowledge of utility units like steam, air, nitrogen, water/effluent treatment, desalination, storage facilities, LNG process design and engineering execution on LNG projects including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, onshore facilities design, construction and operations.
  • Experienced in FEED and EPC detailed design with large utilities systems in oil & gas facilities.
  • Excellent written and oral English skills.
  • Strong technical, prioritization and management skills.
  • Good influencing and interface skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, Lotus Notes, etc.
