Principal Maintenance Readiness (Battery Limits, TOS, Data Audit)

Introduction

Brunel is currently looking for a candidate for a Maintenance Readiness position for a mining client. The successful candidate provides technical expertise to develop a hierarchy of mining and processing equipment (Technical Object Structure - TOS) in accordance with client standards. Responsibilities include identifying equipment battery limits using P&IDs and general arrangement drawings, and auditing vendor and engineering data (manuals, parts lists, etc.) to ensure it is fit for maintenance strategy and plan development. This role works closely with Maintenance Readiness workstreams, operations, and project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define battery limits for physical systems using engineering artefacts (P&IDs, data sheets, GA drawings).
  • Build high-quality 1SAP asset hierarchy battery limits for Underground Mine, Hoists, Mill and Non-Process Infrastructure.
  • Govern TOS templates and support QA/QC processes for 1SAP maintenance master data uploads.
  • Review vendor/engineering maintenance documentation (manuals, operations manuals, parts lists, drawings) for completeness and compliance.
  • Navigate and collect data from complex databases and systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Maintenance Readiness team members to deliver consistent, aligned outputs.
  • Develop, optimise and govern master data; replicate best practices across assets and equipment.
  • Prioritise tasks according to schedule and operational importance.
  • Ensure documentation for battery limits, TOS development and data auditing is current and accurate.
  • Developing, navigating and using maintenance data within SAP.
  • Working with complex data models and advanced spreadsheets.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment (design, maintenance or operation).
  • Exposure to equipment or system design.
  • Experience working with large, remote, multi-disciplinary teams across time zones.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary engineering degree or Technician/Trade diploma(s).
  • Experience interpreting P&IDs, schematics and data sheets.
  • Experience developing or using maintenance master data.
  • Experience with asset hierarchy development.
  • Experience developing or utilizing equipment documentation such as manuals, parts lists, drawings.
  • Experience in the energy, resources or construction industry.
  • SAP Master Data experience.
  • Understanding of Work Management Processes.
  • Hands-on background in equipment design, maintenance, or operations.
