Mechanical Equipment Assemblers

Looking for Mechanical Equipment Assemblers for a contract-to-hire position with our client who is a leader in the Water and Wastewater systems industry. As an assembler will perform a variety of tasks including mechanical assembly, working from a Bill of Material, picking material from stock, and testing assemblies. All this work is done according to instructions provided in the form of drawings and QOI's.
* Hands-on worker with experience in mechanical or electrical assembly, preferably from a construction, automotive (working under the hood), or skilled trades background.* Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and work with tools to drill, mount brackets, and assemble components.
* High school diploma or higher; vocational/technical training is a plus.* Reliable and adaptable to working across different areas on the production floor.
* Candidates should have a broader electrical or mechanical assembly experience.* Ideal background in automotive repair, civil construction, or mechanical shop experience.
* 1-3 years of experience in mechanical/electrical assembly in a heavy equipment manufacturing environment.* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, Bills of Material (BOM), and quality documentation.
* Proficiency in using hand tools, calibrated instruments, and troubleshooting basic electrical/mechanical issues.* Must be able to follow detailed instructions and work independently in a fast-paced environment
* Work involves moving between different areas on the floor rather than stationary bench work.* Strong contract workers will be turned into permanent employees.
* Starting pay is $21/hr* Steel-toe boots are required
