Introduction

  • To safely and efficiently lead and supervise Hook-up and Brownfield activities executed by the

    EPC Contractor related to Mech and Piping Discipline for Compression Project.

  • The Mech and Piping lead position requires solid technical experience, effective communication

    skills, and ability to solve problems and to propose mitigations measures. Residential Contract,

    The work will be executed in different sites where the Mech and Piping lead will be subject to be

    assigned to throughout the project execution.

  • The mech and Piping lead must be able to manage the respective priorities, drivers, challenges

    and site constraints in close collaboration with the Head of HUC – Brownfield and other

    stakeholders while maintaining focus on safety, quality and planning. The context and challenges

    of the position are summarized as follows:

    • All necessary Brownfield ties in scope to connect new Riser platforms, Wellhead platforms, bridges, new stalk on risers, new FG spur lines, new composite and fiber optic cables.

    • Complex Brownfield modifications on platforms involving Structures, Process, Instrumentation & Control, Electrical, HVAC, Piping and Mechanical, and Telecom disciplines.
    • Decommissioning activities (pipelines and topside equipment).
  • Work scope and specific activities that will require production shut down will have to be executed within predefined COMPANY Shut Down windows driven by the onshore LNG trains maintenance activities.

What are you going to do 

  • Provides safety, Health and Environmental leadership by example to the Project Team and contractor, its sub-contractor and site vendors.
  • Responsible for ensuring the contractor team implements and sustains its obligations and

    responsibilities for HSES project deliverables.

  • To deliver project phase requirements, milestones as defined in schedule in line with COMPANY
  • Management System.
  • To supervise and control the activities of the Contractor/Subcontractors related to the Mechanical and piping operations and Commissioning to ensure that it complies with contractual

    requirements, project documentation and applicable International Standards.

  • To Liaise with Contractors/Subcontractors for all Mechanical and Piping subjects,

    commissioning and ensure the Contractors/Subcontractors progress follow up and reporting.

  • To contribute to the engineering, design check for the Mechanical and piping aspects, as well as

    compliance with all technical requirements by providing input.

  • To Participate to Risk Assessments, kick off meetings and Pre-Job Meetings, pre-Simops visits,

    technical meeting, Lesson learned etc. as required in accordance with Company's referential.

  • To ensure the Permit to Work preparation in due time with technical and HSE documentation needed, in line with standards.
  • To Ensure the proper quality and traceability of the fabrication assisted if required.
  • To Ensure with Contractors/Subcontractors that all the built dossiers are properly handed over to the Onshore and Offshore Team.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor’s degree in sciences or engineering.
  • 8 years’ experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year
  • of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
  • Experience with Oil and Gas companies, contractors, service companies, or heavy construction

    companies.

  • Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to

    major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up, as applicable to the

    project scope.

  • Knowledge of offshore facilities and structures, onshore facilities, or yard operations such as

    applicable to a project scope.

  • Knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production

    facilities.

  • Experience working in large-scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, sub surface, etc.
