Introduction

Brunel Energy is looking for Machine Tool Specialist to join with one of our client in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

What are you going to do

  • Execute the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule and ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out in a timely manner in compliance with Company policies and procedures, customer specifications and industry standards;
  • Carry out corrective maintenance actions in response to machine failures involving diagnostic, diagnostic analysis and intervention work for the earliest possible commissioning;
  • Ensure interventions on machine tools: fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, machine repairs, retrofit, in close collaboration with technical support;
  • Ensure technical interventions on customer sites, as part of a repair activity or retrofit site: mechanics, geometry, electromechanics, maintenance, automation, electronics, within the allotted deadlines;
  • Ensure regular communication with the internal Services (Field Services Manager, Technical Support, Service Managers, Project Managers..) to inform about the status of the machines (technical developments, observed breakdowns..);
  • Play a technical advisory role with machine users (clients) and actively participate in the detection of commercial opportunities services (realization);
  • Perform the administration, configuration, calibration, maintenance, programming, and qualification of assigned equipment / machinery as per established SOP’s;
  • Use knowledge of equipment/machinery and mechanical processes to troubleshoot and resolve basic equipment and process errors and recommend solutions by applying a wide variety of existing techniques, processes, and procedures to fulfil customer/operational requirements;
  • To provide on-call support to customers as and when required to ensure all equipment, machinery and tooling conform to the relevant standards and regulatory requirements;
  • Always ensure the technical integrity and performance of equipment and machinery;
  • Understand safety requirements and ensure all maintenance works and systems operate in line with Company, customer and industry safety standards;
  • Monitor equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operational performance and reduction of unplanned maintenance;
  • Diagnose and control machines, installations and equipment;
  • Alert appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol;
  • Gather, record, analyze, and summarize data in various formats and prepare reports of works/tasks performed as per Company and/or customer reporting requirements;
  • Responsible for ensuring that maintenance/works records are kept fully up to date with all additions/modifications recorded and support report preparation requirements as per Company and customer requirements;
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance processes and procedures to support enhancement of operational performance;
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant (internal and external) regulations including HSEQ requirements using Company policies and procedures as appropriate.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Diploma or vocational certification in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical or a relevant field;
  • Knowledge in aeronautics or machining would be a plus;
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience;
  • Relevant welding certification is advantageous;
  • NEBOSH certification is advantageous;
  • Proficient user of MS Office.
