What are you going to do

As a Human Resources Officer, you will provide high-quality HR support and advice across the organisation, working closely with managers, employees, and the broader HR team. You will play a key role in the delivery of day-to-day HR operations, contributing to positive employee experiences and ensuring compliance with policies and legislation.

  • Act as a first point of contact for managers and employees, providing timely and accurate advice on HR policies, procedures, and processes
  • Support managers with employee relations matters, including performance management, grievances, and disciplinary processes
  • Assist with HR case management, documentation, and coordination of workplace investigations as required
  • Support the delivery of cyclical HR activities such as performance reviews, workforce planning, and succession planning
  • Assist in the implementation of HR initiatives, including employee development programs, reward and recognition, and enterprise agreements
  • Ensure HR records and systems are maintained accurately and confidentially
  • Provide advice on relevant employment legislation and internal policies, escalating complex matters where appropriate

Essential skills and knowledge 

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related discipline (or working towards)
  • Previous experience in an HR Officer, HR Advisor, or similar generalist role
  • Working knowledge of Employment and Industrial Relations legislation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships
  • Well-organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Confident in preparing HR documentation and supporting HR processes and initiatives
  • Proficient in MS Office and HR systems
