Introduction

  • To Lead Flow Assurance engineering activities for North Field Expansion Offshore Projects, ensuring technical requirements (e.g. project specifications, studies, etc.) are fully comply with project deliverables and standardized processes and to support the Offshore Engineering Manager in delivering all aspects to the highest standards.
  • The Head of Flow Assurance will be responsible for providing expert technical guidance on Flow Assurance.
  • The role ensures design Topsides and Pipelines, compliance with international standards to enhance asset reliability and safety.
  • Provide extensive knowledge and understanding on the requirements of ECPI, communicating and efficiently translating Company requirements and data into an efficient delivery from the contractor.
  • Collaborate across disciplines (including Process, Instrumentation, Pipeline, Umbilicals, HSSE
  • and Risk) and monitor the progress and delivery of the engineering sections of the work scope.

What are you going to do 

  • Ensure that the Contractor’s Flow Assurance studies for Topsides & Pipelines Engineering designs comply with the Contract requirements, including project codes and standards.
  • Review and approve Contractor/Sub-Contractor Flow Assurance engineering deliverables, including Pipeline Operating Manuals.
  • Plan and schedule the Flow Assurance engineering deliverables to enable efficient project execution, ensuring technical alignment and compliance with LNG operational policies, standards of business conduct and project management system.
  • Review and provide input for key Topside & Pipeline documentation associated with Topside & Pipeline Commissioning and start-up.
  • Participate in key design workshop and ensure that recommendation is correctly implemented and actions closed (Lessons Learned, Value Engineering, HAZIDs, etc.).
  • Supports Offshore Engineering Manager in monitoring the contractor’s progress on delivery of the required Flow Assurance documents for Topsides and Pipeline disciplines.
  • Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts with respective disciplines involved in delivery of the Pipelines and ensures endorsement of technical deviations to Company specifications when required.
  • Supervises and manage Engineering interface for flow assurance for Topsides, Pipelines, Onshore Facilities (Offshore scope) with the following teams: Operations, the pipelines from the topsides perspective, the Onshore Project Team.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences or Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience as Flow Assurance Engineer in a major project environment within the oil and gas industry and having a broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, offshore facilities design, construction and operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary, multicultural teams in offshore environments.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills
  • A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications.
  • Good knowledge of Process, piping, pipeline design.
