Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Administrator for a 9 month contract in Perth CBD. You will provide vital administrative support to the Downstream Engineering Team, including organising meetings, managing resource requests, financial reporting, and liaising with global project stakeholders. This role is Monday to Friday and is a great opportunity to contribute to high-impact engineering initiatives with potential for contract extension.

What are you going to do 

As a Team Administrator, you will be responsible for providing essential administrative support to the Downstream Engineering Team. This includes managing meetings, coordinating resource requests, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. You will also assist in financial reporting and contribute to the smooth operation of global projects, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise, attend, and participate in team and stakeholder meetings
  • Facilitate meetings and document minutes, following up on actions and decisions
  • Prepare presentation materials for meetings
  • Administer requests for Engineering resources, support, and Engineering Standards access
  • Handle administration and reporting for the engineering team
  • Coordinate with various functions, including Studies, Contracts, Procurement, Recruitment, and Project Services
  • Support purchase requisitions, orders, and vendor onboarding
  • Provide financial reporting of purchase orders against engineering team budgets
  • Facilitate document input, reviews, and issuing reports
  • Engage professionally and positively with others to ensure tasks are completed on time

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Experience in an administrative role within the mining industry
  • Experience coordinating engineering services or related functions
  • Strong SAP experience (essential)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Current WA Manual C-Class Driver's Licence
  • Full Australian Working Rights
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and zero harm
  • Ability to produce a National Police Clearance within six months
  • Ability to attend a pre-employment medical
