Introduction

Brunel has exclusively partnered with a well-known Tier 2 construction company, recognised for its outstanding reputation and exceptionally strong project pipeline, to appoint a Construction Manager in Queensland.

What are you going to do 

You will begin by taking the reins on a flagship $200m Gold Coast project, already a live site in delivery. In this role, you will have multiple Senior Project Managers reporting into you, with overall responsibility for safety, program, budget, and quality through to completion.

Following the successful delivery of this project, your role will transition to Brisbane, where you will step into a broader remit as Construction Manager, overseeing multiple project teams and Senior Project Managers across a diverse pipeline of projects valued between $30m and $100m.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of the $200m flagship Gold Coast live project.
  • Oversee and mentor multiple Senior Project Managers and project delivery teams.
  • Ensure alignment between project managers, design managers, and site staff.
  • Build and maintain strong client, consultant, and subcontractor relationships.
  • Deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Monitor performance across multiple teams and implement improvements.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and growth-driven team culture.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Extensive experience in large-scale commercial construction as a Senior Project Manager or Construction Manager.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple Senior Project Managers across concurrent major projects.
  • Background in $100m plus projects in sectors such as healthcare, social housing or sporting facilities will be highly regarded.
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and codes.
  • Confident in stakeholder engagement, issue resolution, and leadership of large delivery teams.
  • Knowledge of industrial relations in a non-EBA environment will be advantageous.
