What are you going to do

This Civil Foreman role is a hands‑on leadership position overseeing day‑to‑day operations on subdivision and land development projects. You'll coordinate crews, subcontractors, plant, and materials to ensure earthworks, drainage, services installation, and pavements are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification. The role suits someone who enjoys leading from the front, solving on‑site challenges, and maintaining strong communication with Project Managers and Engineers. With a solid pipeline of upcoming estates, this is a long‑term opportunity with relocation support available for candidates ready to make the move.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise civil crews delivering subdivision works including earthworks, drainage, and services
  • Plan and coordinate daily site activities, ensuring plant, materials, and labour are organised
  • Maintain safety, quality, and productivity across all stages of construction
  • Read and interpret plans to guide crews and ensure work meets project specifications
  • Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, and subcontractors to keep the program moving smoothly
  • Monitor progress on site, identify issues early, and implement practical solutions

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements

  • Experience as a Civil Foreman or a Leading Hand ready to step up
  • Background in subdivisions, earthworks, utilities, or general civil construction
  • Ability to read and interpret civil plans, levels, and specifications
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct and motivate crews
  • Solid understanding of safety practices and site compliance
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to make practical decisions on site
  • Willingness to relocate, with support available
