Introduction

**This is a one-year contract, anticipated 30-35 hours per week**

**Posting will close Tuesday, Sept 16th at COB - Interviews to take place Friday, Sept 19th**

**This position is a hybrid role, 2-3 days per week in office in Markham, Ontario**

What are you going to do

Responsibilities

  • Manage and co-ordinate daily medical operations, including round table-discussions, advisory board meetings, videos, medical booths, disease awareness campaigns etc.
  • Status tracking and reporting to Affiliate management
  • Localize Global MSL materials using Veeva Vault system
  • Manage Teams calendars and meetings and support with travels
  • Support the approval of tier-1, less complex promotional materials
  • Liaise with third party vendors for development of materials and resources
  • Liaise with KOLs and healthcare experts in specific projects
  • Competent in technology and systems including Veeva Vault, SAP, Veeva CRM
  • Comfortable in using authorized AI tools to optimize the workflow and timelines
  • Occasionally, Liaise between teams (Marketing, medical, clinical operations etc) to optimize collaboration and project delivery for Medical Affairs projects
  • Assist in developing and managing budgets from third party providers including medical education agencies, AV companies etc.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, licensing requirements and internal policies
  • Ensure all medical activities are aligned with IMC as well as internal SOPs
  • Provides operational support as needed for the Medical team

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements

  • Science degree essential (e.g. Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Nursing or other appropriated) from Canada or international from an accredited University or other degree could me accepted if individual previously worked in pharmaceutical company or other healthcare related setting.
  • Project Management certification or experience is an asset
  • Ability to think and plan and to adopt an open-minded approach to challenges
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach, able to develop and support relationships across an organization
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills (English)
  • Sound judgment, proactive strong planning and organizational skills, and the ability to get things completed in a timely fashion
  • Works independently: limited guidance/oversight
  • Strong commitment to compliance with the relevant rules and procedures, and to scientific quality and integrity
  • Project Management Skills desirable or proven experience of undertaking an undergraduate project requiring these skills
  • Ability to understand pharmaceutical and medical terminology
  • Training or customer facing role experience desirable
  • Computer and software knowledge like MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Share-point) as well as Veeva System among others.
