Data Entry Operator (3-month contract)

What are you going to do 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare original files to be scanned
  • Track and update status, location, and disposition of records
  • Archives financial and project records
  • Scan files to be archived
  • Index and cross-references files
  • Retrieve and copy physical files, documents
  • Reorganize individual files or boxes of files on shelves as required
  • Perform related duties as required

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements

  • Bilingual (French/English)
  • Collegial (CEGEP) diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with digital imaging processes, software, and equipment
  • Understanding of electronic file structures
  • General knowledge of records retention and quality assurance practices
  • Ability to follow engineering and financial record keeping standards, guidelines, and procedures for record copying, storage, and retrieval
  • Ability to use a personal computer with MS Office, Google Workspace
  • Ability to operate digital copying and retrieval equipment
  • Ability to use general office equipment such as a copier, printer, shredder, and scanner
  • Ability to work independently and move from one task to another without being directed
  • Must be able to routinely lift and move boxes weighing as much as 40 lbs.
