As a part of our team, you will be a working field service technicians for assignment of tasks, work environment, safety, and the overall performance of crew and contractors on field projects.
As the transformer engineer (TE) you will be the primary expert in Maintenance, service and repair of transformers, The TE and crew may be assigned other work individually or as part of a larger electrical Live substation environment.
What are you going to do
Provide technical instructions on safe and correct assembly and maintenance of power and distribution transformers, following project scope of work, drawings, and method statements.
Direct and train crew in the operation of transformer oil processing equipment, ensuring proper documentation.
Perform complex field service operations that require strong technical skills.
Troubleshoot and repair of power and distribution electrical equipment, applying own knowledge and experience to resolve problems, recommend changes, or modified procedures to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
Strong knowledge in On load Tap changers and off load Tap Changers Maintenance and troubleshooting etc.
Strong Knowledge in Power transformer testing & analysis to identify the root causes.
Communicate clearly and professionally (written and/or verbal) regarding project scope, safety reviews, security or environmental incidents, safety violations, or near misses.
Provide leadership and guide less experienced technicians, instructing them in proper and safe operation of equipment and tasks.
Essential skills and knowledgeÂ
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
Minimum of 8+ years in power transformer Installation, maintenance, and repair of power and distribution transformers and accessories.
Proficiency in industrial electrical wiring and troubleshooting, with the ability to analyse & trouble shoot the faults.
Specialized skill set in Distribution, Power, or Transmission electrical substation equipment in voltage ranges of Low Voltage (4160V- 13kV), Medium Voltage (13kV- 69kV), and High Voltage (69kV- 800 kV) up to 800 MVA.
