As a senior member of the Software Center of Excellence, you will:

  • Enhance and support high-availability systems for electricity energy markets.
  • Develop, test, integrate, and fine-tune advanced Power Systems Application software to meet project goals.
  • Lead and guide a team of software engineers in the electricity markets domain, providing both technical and domain expertise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and product developers to ensure quality and functional excellence.
  • Apply methodologies such as Lean/Agile/XP and CI, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure software development.
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives by preparing proposals and demonstrating solutions to prospective customers.

Desired Skills

  • Power Systems Expertise: Deep understanding of Power Systems Analysis and optimization using Mixed Integer Programming (MIP).
  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC): Proficiency in Agile methodologies, including testing techniques and product scalability.
  • Leadership Abilities: Proven ability to mentor and lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Master's / Doctorate degree from an accredited university in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) or equivalent.
  • 12 + years of experience in Power System Domain and software development experience
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver both formal and informal presentations to technical and non-technical staff and customers.
  • Proficiency in interacting and communicating with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Hands-on experience with software development for energy exchange/markets applications would be preferred.
