Site Supervisor - Renewable Energy

Melbourne

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager / Supervisor to oversee the safe and efficient operation of a renewable energy facility. This hands-on role will be responsible for site operations, maintenance activities, contractor management, and ensuring compliance with all safety and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day site operations and supervise site personnel and contractors.
  • Perform and oversee electrical and HV maintenance activities.
  • Manage permits, safety compliance, and WHS reporting.
  • Monitor and maintain plant equipment, including transformers, switchgear, substations, inverters, BESS systems, generators, and UPS equipment.
  • Respond to alarms, troubleshoot faults, and coordinate repairs.
  • Work closely with engineering and control room teams to optimise plant performance.
  • Manage maintenance planning, scheduling, and CMMS reporting.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding technical support, warranty claims, and service requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of maintenance and operational activities.

About You

  • Strong commitment to safety and WHS best practices.
  • Experience supervising personnel and contractors on industrial, energy, or utility sites.
  • Electrical trade qualification and HV experience highly regarded.
  • Well-organised, proactive, and solution-focused.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and computer skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team while managing competing site priorities.

This role is supported by a 24/7 Control Room and works closely with Asset Managers, Technicians, and Operations teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance.
