Our client is a leading mining organization with a strong focus on safe, efficient, and sustainable operations. The Quality Manager leads the development and implementation of the project's Quality Management Plan and provides functional alignment with the organization's quality and risk governance group.
* Demonstrate strong safety leadership and model adherence to all safety and environmental requirements.
* Develop, implement, and continuously improve a risk-based Quality Management Plan
(QMP) that aligns with corporate standards.
* Establish, maintain, and enhance the project-wide risk register and risk management plan.
* Ensure risk management activities are active, effective, and regularly reported to project leadership.
* Integrate lessons learned into ongoing planning, quality processes, and risk mitigation strategies.
* Identify opportunities to increase value, reduce cost, and minimize project risk across all phases.
* Ensure compliance with corporate project delivery standards and support assurance processes, including independent reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Define project quality objectives and KPIs, and provide regular reporting on quality performance, risks, issues, and emerging concerns.
* Develop and communicate project requirements for risk and quality management.
* Apply contract requirements and the project's QMP to oversee external quality activities and drive performance.
* Review quality deliverables such as construction quality plans and supplier quality surveillance programs, and monitor execution.
* Manage auditing and surveillance activities related to external service providers and contractors.
* Participate in third-party quality activities to ensure project requirements are met.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams, engineering partners, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
* Ensure non-conformances, corrective actions, and improvement opportunities are effectively addressed and closed.
* Plan, secure, and manage resources for the risk and quality team.
* Foster a strong culture of risk awareness and quality excellence within the project team.
* Prepare and refine weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports and documentation.
* Support broader project governance and oversight activities
