Introduction

A leading global renewable energy company is seeking an HSE Officer / Advisor to join their team on utility-scale solar projects in North-West NSW. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting on-site teams to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

What are you going to do 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor HSE policies and procedures on-site.
  • Conduct site safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with work health and safety regulations.
  • Deliver safety inductions and toolbox talks to site personnel.
  • Support site teams with hazard identification and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with project managers to promote a positive safety culture.
  • Maintain HSE documentation and reporting to ensure compliance.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (OHS) - Essential.
  • Construction White Card - Essential.
  • Experience in construction projects (renewable energy preferred but not essential).
  • First Aid and CPR certification (desired but not essential).
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and site safety practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with site teams.
