Reporting to Head of Commissioning Offshore, the Commissioning Process and Piping Specialist is responsible for managing process and Piping Commissioning during preparation and execution stage of Offshore Project to ensure objectives are safely met within the approved scope and schedule.
Commissioning Process and Piping Specialist shall ensure that all his scope of work is completed in accordance with safety and quality standards applicable.
Accountable for Process and piping Commissioning activities
Interfaces with various project teams and departments on resolving related issues that require effective communication, initiative, flexibility and an ability to induce collaboration
Provide the start-up and performance test support
What are you going to do
Manage all execution of process and piping commissioning activities to achieve commissioning schedule on target with all safety requirements especially during SIMOPS and co-activities
Monitoring of VENDORS activities during commissioning (SAT, Punch list Closure, OTP etc.)
Monitor the test pack performed in offshore (leak test N2/He)
Make sure that the required commissioning spare parts and special tools are available and ready to use
Monitoring and review progress in ICAPS on daily basis
Clearing of punch-list items blocking the handover certificate
Responsible for readiness of the main milestone of piping and process system or sub system (MC walkdown, RFC, RFSU, PSSR etc.)
Provide guidance and timely review on contractor’s commissioning execution plan and processes verifying fitness for purpose and compliance with CONTRACT requirements including codes and standards
Ensure coordination and communication for site activities with other disciplines such as construction, Hook up and Completion Team and SHE representative and provide technical support with contractor, quality, safety, planning, engineering and start up / performance testing
Review and propose mitigation for commissioning aspects of the Risk Management Plan and monitor the mitigation when defined
Review all commissioning changes, including justification for cost and schedule impacts, in accordance with the PMOC procedure.
Attend to meetings as required, mentor the trainees to develop their project skills and experience while being on site; Maintain a register of lessons learned
Essential skills and knowledge
Engineering degree in process or bachelor’s degree with minimum 10 years experience
Minimum of 10 years of total experiences with at least 6 years demonstrated as commissioning experience in major capital projects
Experiences in high pressure test, gross air leak test and flange management
Hands on experiences with hydraulic oil flushing and Helium leak test preferably in offshore environment
Experiences for commissioning execution of critical process equipment (high pressure vessel, PSV, BDV etc.)
Experience as interface focal point with multiple contractors on preparation, the execution phase including SIMOPS
Familiar with system completion database ICAPS and OPERCOM methodology
Worldwide commissioning experience with contractors or under companies involved in the commissioning and start up support of Offshore production facilities
Able to be flexible in terms of organization and to cover time to time the needs of project in other locations (such as offshore)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT
Good knowledge on various process equipment (pumps, PSV, vessels, control valves, safety valves, PID controllers etc.)
Good experience in hydrotest and leak test (gross air or helium nitrogen)
Familiar with Pigging operation will be a plus
Good experience in hydraulic oil flushing activities
Strong knowledge in Wellhead control panel
A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English
Computer literacy (Excel, PPT, Word etc.)
Experienced with International Standards, OPERCOM and ICAPS
Ability to communicate with Contractor’s team and obtain required information as requested
Experienced with Interface coordination and support activities
