Mechanical Piping Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Mechanical Piping Supervisor to oversee mechanical and piping construction activities within an LNG Processing Plant (LNGPP) environment. This role is critical in ensuring that all piping works are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and field supervision experience in large-scale oil & gas or LNG infrastructure projects. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-visibility project with a focus on operational excellence and safety performance.
Supervise all mechanical and piping construction activities in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Coordinate daily work with subcontractors, ensuring timely execution and compliance with safety and technical requirements.
Monitor piping installation, welding, spool fit-up, supports, hydrotesting, and mechanical completion activities.
Review and verify construction work packages, method statements, and ITPs (Inspection Test Plans) prior to work execution.
Ensure proper material handling, traceability, and storage of piping components and materials at the work site.
Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure strict compliance with site HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and procedures.
Participate in and support site safety walkdowns, audits, and incident investigations when required.
Liaise with engineering and QA/QC teams to resolve site technical queries and non-conformities.
Maintain accurate records of work progress, manpower utilization, and resource allocation for reporting purposes.
Coordinate inspection and testing activities with QC inspectors, including pressure tests, flushing, and cleaning.
Monitor and control installation schedules to meet project deadlines and mitigate delays.
Report progress, issues, and potential risks to the Construction Manager regularly.
Support mechanical pre-commissioning and handover activities in line with project turnover requirements.
Foster strong working relationships with all stakeholders, including client representatives, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in mechanical and piping construction, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory role on oil & gas, petrochemical, or LNG projects
Proven experience working on high-voltage utility relocation projects or similar infrastructure is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of piping systems, materials, welding techniques, isometric drawings, and P&IDs.
Familiar with international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM).
Ability to interpret construction drawings, work packages, and technical specifications.
Hands-on experience with hydrotesting, flushing, mechanical completion, and pre-commissioning activities.
Strong commitment to safety and demonstrated ability to enforce HSE procedures at the worksite.
Familiar with permit-to-work systems and risk assessment practices.
Effective leadership and team coordination skills.
Ability to interface and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and client representatives.
