Introduction

  • Defining, implementing, managing and following up all necessary scopes and procedures related to subsea cable, CXings, 3rd party NOL and its shore pull in land fall and connection, and also at Platform side
  • Identify/manage all technical aspects for subsea cable, CXings, interfaces within project execution
  • Technically manage all internal and external design, analysis and interfaces, schedule and budget with all parties during project execution in particular
    • Review engineering documentation produced by CONTRACTOR and ensure adequacy with existing standards
    • Answer to any technical or quality query related to subsea scope
    • Provide field engineering assistance during site construction works
    • Technically direct all parties under your remit and when specialist inputs required
    • Prepare and follow-up PR/Audit sessions during project execution
  • Major Projects involve the development of new offshore platforms bridge linked to the existing facilities, installation of subsea pipelines and debottlenecking of the produced water treatment, all these activities could be executed across several international sites.
  • Projects will require complex interfaces with other entities of COMPANY.
  • EPC execution shall take place at Contractor premises,
  • Possibility of multiple worldwide missions or relocations to follow-up engineering development and execution with various contractors.

What are you going to do 

  • To adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regard to HSSE and to implement HSSE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility.
  • To liaise with other interface engineers, all discipline engineers involved in the management of the project and with contractor personnel handling technical design and interfaces.
  • The job holder shall also make sure that non contractual obligations are properly addressed by contractor.
  • To organize and/or attend technical interface meetings as necessary.
  • To ensure consistence and correct design compliance both under area of responsibility and with other areas during the various phase of detailed design, procurement, fabrication, installation and animate dedicated transverse technical, schedule and cost coordination between packages as required to ensure all requirements for activities are complied with.
  • To ensure timely review of documentation by interfaces to identify clashes/conflicts
  • To ensure coordination and follow-up of E&C G&G surveys throughout project execution,
  • To follow-up during FEED and EPCIC phases the progress of ESIA studies with HSEQ to ensure issuance of Consent to Construct certificate in due time to allow installation of the cable
  • To prepare before start of the FEED the engineering contractor SOW
  • To manage technical communication interface with Other Operators during Pre-FEED, FEED and EPCIC phases
  • Put in place interface agreements / NOLs with Other Operators before start of FEED and or EXECUTE
  • To follow up 3rd party interfaces (i.e. Logistic) during FEED and EPCIC phases
  • To attend all interface-related meetings, including in particular interface workshops, HAZID / HAZOP meetings, meetings with Contractor(s), etc. in order to ensure the permanent control of the battery limits.
  • To organize, control and follow up process to have all deliverables timely issued by contractors for all interfaces, and to control the quality of these deliverables during FEED and EPCIC phases.
  • To assist EPCIC Contractor(s), as required, in the closing out of interfaces.
  • To expedite the exchange of Interface Task Sheet involving Contractor(s) as necessary.
  • To ensure that EPCIC Contractors provide proper reporting of the progress of their interfaces activities and ensure subsequently report on progress of interface management process implementation to Project Manager and refer to him in the event of any deviation or conflict with proposed remedial actions.
  • To avoid change orders and delays caused by subsea scope or interface issues by ensuring timely follow-up of technical subjects.
  • To anticipate problems and work together with Contractor(s), Engineering coordinator and as a general manner with all discipline Engineers, to propose technical solutions.
  • To liaise with project team and discipline engineers on all interface matters and/or help expedite the development of the design process between Contractors during FEED and EPCIC execution phase.
  • To resolve and chase Technical Queries and Derogations Requests in liaison with discipline engineers and Technical Reference Persons.
  • To timely report to the NFL engineering coordinator, highlighting progress and areas of concerns encountered in the performance of his duties
  • To ensure confidentiality of all the documentation produced (whatever its support)
  • Ensure readiness for all internal/external audits required (PR, Third parties, Partners)

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor or Master’s in Engineering in a relevant discipline
  • Professional Experience in Engineering and Project Management (years): 10
  • Large spectrum of skill and competencies in various engineering disciplines and/or in Interface Management
  • Specialist Subsea cable design, installation, interface, shore pulling, J-Tube puling and associated 3rd party approvals including all associated CXing design
  • A good knowledge of Contractual matters would be necessary, and a good knowledge of Well Head Platforms Projects and Operations would be a plus.
  • Languages: English mandatory
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards
  • H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings
