What are you going to do
Brunel is partnering with this leading contractor to recruit a proactive and experienced Safety Advisor. This role focuses on projects in Northern NSW and the Southern Gold Coast, providing an exciting opportunity to lead safety initiatives, foster a strong safety culture, and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to identify and mitigate potential safety risks
- Develop and implement site-specific safety plans, emergency response procedures, and hazard analyses
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and toolbox talks to promote safe work practices
- Investigate incidents, providing recommendations for corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety legislation and company policies
- Provide guidance and training to staff and subcontractors on safety protocols and best practices
Essential skills and knowledgeÂ
- Strong background in construction safety.
- Construction building experience is a must.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Australian health and safety legislation and industry standards
- Experience in developing and implementing safety management systems and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Cert IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent; additional safety management qualifications highly regarded
