Introduction

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager to deliver sustaining capital and NPI mining projects from our Perth CBD office. Working within a consultancy environment, you will manage multiple small to mid-sized projects across mining and minerals processing operations. This is a contract opportunity offering flexibility, with potential for longer-term engagement.

What are you going to do

  • Manage delivery of multiple sustaining capital and NPI projects concurrently

  • Oversee project scope, deliverables, schedule and budget performance

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering inputs across mechanical and associated disciplines

  • Control project expenditure, including review and verification of invoices and subcontractor claims

  • Maintain and manage key project registers (Change, Risk, TQs, SID/HAZID/HAZOP)

  • Support procurement, contractor engagement and contract administration activities

  • Ensure compliance with client, site and safety requirements

  • Maintain strong communication with clients and internal stakeholders

  • Identify and manage project risks, variations and scope changes

  • Provide leadership and coordination to ensure safe, efficient and commercially sound project delivery

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • 8+ years' engineering or project delivery experience (Mechanical preferred)

  • Sustaining capital or brownfield mining project experience

  • Mining or minerals processing background

  • Experience with pumping, piping or materials handling systems

  • Experience managing scope, schedule and budget

  • Experience coordinating disciplines, contractors and clients

  • NPI or consultancy experience (desirable)
